
Sidney High School Theater Renovation
Prodigy delivered a full‑scale renovation of the Sidney High School auditorium, modernizing every major performance, production, and audience‑facing system. This multi‑disciplinary upgrade included new theater sound, stage lighting, house lighting, projection, curtains, rigging, painting, flooring, seating, accessibility improvements, acoustic treatments, and a new sound booth—creating a state‑of‑the‑art performance environment for students and the community.
Theater Sound System upgrades included a PreSonus StudioLive 64S digital mixing console, remote sound control, dual digital snakes, new line array speakers with subwoofers, a full intercom system, and a complete microphone package featuring body packs, handhelds, choir mics, and point‑source microphones.
Stage Lighting improvements introduced a 4‑universe lighting board, color‑changing LED PARs, ellipsoidals, linear wash fixtures, moving head spotlights, hybrid fixtures, and integration of select existing lights into the new system.
House Lighting was retrofitted with a Canto USA LED system, restoring wall‑mounted control and improving reliability. Aisle lighting was repaired and restored to full functionality.
Projection upgrades included a 250" screen, 8,500‑lumen projector, long‑throw lens, and front‑projection configuration.
Curtain replacements featured new inherently flame‑resistant Prism Velour front curtains, valance, cyclorama curtains, muslin drops, and a sharks‑tooth scrim—installed with proper pleating, hems, grommets, and track hardware.
Rigging modernization included replacing 22 arbors, new rope locks, new battens, new guide wires, new pulleys, new operating rope, corrected line sets, hardware upgrades, and safety improvements across the entire system.
Theater painting refreshed ceilings, walls, stage floor, stage front, and the new sound booth using high‑quality Sherwin Williams coatings.
Flooring upgrades included installation of 6,250 sq. ft. of Shaw New Path Calm Tile carpet squares.
Seating replacement removed 710 existing seats and installed 702 new Mobilario Convention “T” theater seats.
Accessibility improvements included demolition and reconstruction of the right side of the stage to install a FlexStep V2 lift system with new 120V power and a clean, finished installation area.
Acoustic panel restoration involved removal, cleaning, new fabric installation, and reinstallation of all panels.
Sound booth construction included demolition of the last seating row, new framing and drywall, and installation of a floating laminate counter.
This renovation delivers a fully modernized, high‑performance auditorium designed for concerts, theater productions, assemblies, and community events—bringing professional‑grade capability to Sidney High School.
