Fairfield Court Development 2024

Prodigy Building Solutions was hired to renovate the existing tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts, delivering a full resurfacing, new equipment installations, upgraded fencing, and improved site functionality. The project enhances play quality, safety, and long‑term durability across all court areas.

Demolition & Preparation

The renovation began with removal and offsite disposal of all existing fence fabric, along with the top, middle, and bottom rails, which will be reinstalled after construction. Damaged fence posts were replaced, and the existing turn‑style entrance was removed. Subgrade and asphalt repairs were completed to stabilize the court base. The electrical underground enclosure assembly was raised to final grade, and existing tennis net posts and bases were removed. Basketball posts remained in place.

Court Resurfacing & Net Systems

Two new tennis net systems with center tie‑downs and six new pickleball net systems were furnished and installed. Prodigy milled an average of 2 inches from the tennis and basketball courts, then applied trackless tack and installed 0.5 inches of virgin leveling course and 1.5 inches of compacted virgin surface course asphalt.

Eight new basketball backboards, rims, and net systems were installed on the existing posts.

After a minimum 21‑day curing period, all new pavement received two coats of resurfacer. Color systems were applied according to sport type:

• Tennis courts: one court color with a contrasting out‑of‑bounds color

• Pickleball courts: two court colors with a contrasting out‑of‑bounds color

• Basketball courts: one standard color for court and out‑of‑bounds

All game lines were applied in white. Final color selections were coordinated with the Owner.

Fencing & Gates

Two existing walk gates were refurbished, five new walk gates were added, and one new double drive gate was installed. Damaged stretcher bars, clamps, and support rails were replaced. Approximately 830 linear feet of 10‑foot‑tall vinyl‑dipped 8‑gauge chain link fabric and 360 linear feet of 6‑foot‑tall vinyl‑dipped 8‑gauge fabric were installed. Media blasting and painting of existing rails, posts, and brackets will be performed by a separate subcontractor.
