Patrick Henry Building Renovation
Prodigy delivered a comprehensive renovation across the Patrick Henry Schools campus, modernizing athletic spaces, improving building systems, and expanding interior facilities to enhance student experience, safety, and performance. The multi‑trade project included a full gymnasium renovation, LED lighting upgrades throughout the athletics building, and a complete expansion and modernization of a middle school restroom.
Athletics Building Lighting Upgrades
Prodigy replaced outdated lighting in the weight room, gymnastics area, and ancillary athletic spaces with new, energy‑efficient LED fixtures. The scope included one‑for‑one fixture replacement, installation of 18 surface‑mounted fixtures (including two new fixtures in the loft with new conduit and conductors), and installation of 32 high‑bay fixtures mounted closer to the ceiling for improved illumination and safety.
Full Gymnasium Renovation
The gymnasium underwent a complete modernization to create a brighter, safer, and more functional athletic environment. Work included new LED lighting, new athletic equipment, sanding and refinishing of the gym floor, painting of walls and ceilings, replacement of existing ductwork with fabric duct, removal and infill of the folding wall, reworking the return air path, and removal, storage, and reinstallation of all flags and banners. Sound attenuation improvements were added to enhance acoustics during games, practices, and events.
Restroom Expansion & Interior Renovation
Prodigy expanded and reconfigured a middle school restroom by removing the existing masonry wall between the restroom and adjacent work area. The project included partial ceiling removal, demolition of wall‑mounted devices, removal of casework and flooring, slab demolition and excavation for a thickened slab, and construction of a new masonry wall with metal stud/drywall extension to maintain smoke‑wall rating. Interior finishes included new LVT flooring, cove base, block fill, and two coats of latex paint. Ceiling grid and pads were replaced, casework was repaired and modified, and electrical, thermostat, speaker, lighting, and fire alarm devices were relocated to match the new layout.
