Tolles Career & Technical Center Cosmology Renovation

Prodigy delivered a full renovation of the Tolles Career & Technical Center cosmetology program, modernizing the instructional environment and expanding its capacity to support hands‑on career training. The project included architectural and engineering services for redesigned floor plans, new casework, upgraded finishes, and major improvements to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and lighting systems.

The renovation replaced outdated flooring, ceilings, and lighting with durable, high‑performance materials and energy‑efficient LED fixtures. New plumbing was installed to support six hair‑washing stations, two washer/dryer units, and a new hair interceptor, including trenching and concrete replacement for new underground lines. Electrical systems were reconfigured to provide dedicated circuits for each cut station, while redundant fire alarm components were removed as walls were reconfigured.

The updated cosmetology lab now features 51 new cut stations, nine manicure stations, integrated casework, mirrors, and new seating throughout. Spray‑foam insulation, relocated thermostats, and a new exhaust fan improved comfort and air quality. IT systems were adjusted to align with the new ceiling layout, including relocation of PA/intercom components and removal of unused CAT6 terminations.

The result is a modern, efficient, and industry‑aligned cosmetology training environment designed to support student success for years to come.
